This is Nori, K and Lago. I had taken my watercolour kit to Venice and the girls wanted to try it. So here we are in San Marco Square after having bought them materials. Their clothes became part of their artwork as well. I just finished a large digital drawing that will be digitally packedContinue reading “Digits. 13 Jul 2010.”

Something about this snap reminded me of Vincent Van Gogh and Arles… The colour of the fields, I suppose. I took it on the way up. Yes.
Cobble. 21 May 2010.
Brian Cobble’s opening at Valley House Gallery last weekend. Please stop by and see his show. Incredible artist. Real artist. Not fake artist. Thinking artist. Not unthinking. Talented. Not intalented. Creative. Not increative. I’m stopping there – but you get my point, oui?

You get a lot of… well, he’s a painter but he doesn’t paint or she’s writer but she doesn’t write or a dancer that doesn’t danceContinue reading “Phillip van Kuren. Artist. 9 Nov 2009.”
Two Picasso’s. 27 Oct 2009.
Just as I suspected – traunched out. The English painter, Francis Bacon, once said: “I’m horribly excited”. To which, David Sylvester asked: “Horribly excited about what, Francis”? Bacon replied: “I’m horribly excited about nothing”. So much for existentialism… I painted four Picasso’s after I’d seen the Julian Schnabel Picasso re-make over the mantle in theContinue reading “Two Picasso’s. 27 Oct 2009.”
