I took this at Le Louvre a couple of years ago. I’ve always enjoyed Delacroix’s work because of the allegory. This painting might serve as a marker for the end of ‘The Age of Enlightenment’ and the beginnings of ‘Romanticism.’

I’ve seen this covey of quail once before near the house. I’ve seen maybe two covey’s in 12 years. Very rare.
