I just saw a spirited Q&A between Erin Burnett and Ambassador Paul Bremer. She totally held him to task for the failings in Iraq that led to were we are now. He tried that old political tactic of stiff arming her by handing out ridiculous responses or changing the tenor of what was discussed. It’s sort of like being a rat. There’s the hole in the wall or the cheese. Binary. And that’s seems to be de rigueur in politics — they don’t learn or know anything useful other than selling you something that you don’t need/want or how to shine the light elsewhere. Off themselves. It’s really predictable and stupid. A friend in Washington refers to Bremer’s career as :’failing upward.’ Which is funny, but not funny haha. When you begin to count how many of them ‘fail upward’ it’s astonishing. How do they do it? Are they part of a special club? A secret handshake? We should all, collectively, try to figure out what’s promoting these people and driving this mess.
It would make for a much safer and more rational place to live.
