The Covington post below is there – because I’m working on a screenplay. I’ve been using these posts as sort of a vehicle/marker of sorts to log certain thoughts. Right. My thoughts from yesterday. But, anyway(s), there is a climbing scene in the screenplay – and – yes- that’s why it’s posted here (and there)..Continue reading “Please allow me to introduce… 21 Feb 2010.”

Hausfrau. 20 Feb 2010.
I saw the craziest thing two nights ago in Austin. This ‘painter’ that does renderings; they’re not paintings – they’re literal copies of these heavily manipulated still lives. So renderings. What do you do? Renderings. It was such a strange mindfuck. I have no idea how long she spends on them. (They look laboured over).Continue reading “Hausfrau. 20 Feb 2010.”
Cov. 16 Feb 2010.
I climbed the West Rib on McKinley with Cov in 1981. I remember Cov and I waiting on Kalhiltna Glacier for Lowell Thomas, Jr to drop off the last two drag bags for our climb. But there was anotherContinue reading “DT. 2 Feb 2010.”
¡fete BOOM! 2 Feb 2010.
While we’re centered on music – I’m not sure – some noise around this – but I heard late last night that NY saxophonist, Bill McHenry, is playing at Saxon Pub in Austin, TX tonight. Jazz is a music that eventually prizes iconoclasts, but positively reveres antecedents. Part of the game in evaluating a youngContinue reading “¡fete BOOM! 2 Feb 2010.”
Musical Score. 1 Feb 2010.
‘chasing KEINO’ should have an original score by next weekend. We’ve been doing weekend duty mixing and re-mixing the musical cues. They really do sound terrific. We are very nearly there. Thanks to some very talented folk.
