A poignant song, steeped in irony. I saw the ending of American Sniper a couple days ago. I was taken by the way the last 5 minutes were cut. Very effective. And having that scene tracked by Ennio Morricone really adds emotional weight. That’s why I dug up the JT song “Soldiers.” The endings of both are ironic. Or paradoxical.
