As many times as I’ve been to LA and I’d never seen the Hoolywood sign. Heard abt it. But never seen it. Until now that is. This is taken from the something-something Observatory across the way. Evidently, Rebel Without a Cause was filmed there. Supposedly, Slim Picken’s shot a man on the road up to the sign. The area is full of colorful history like that.
They should put the entire area under a Renzo Piano glass box for preservation and charge an admission fee. Like the Austin Museum of Art.
