This was my version of Neurology 101 — take the guitar into Austin to a proper luthier or try it myself as out patient surgery. After an hour of deliberation and a phone call to Dr Hendrix — I started. After 45 minutes, I was done with wiring surgery. Out with the bad and in with the good. When I plugged the guitar in — no issues; no death by electrocution or weird sonic maladies. Just beautiful open and defined tone. The new pickups are totally Bia. I had to change the saddle positions to get the bridge plate off and then intonate the guitar; which I thought would be WAY north of NEUROLOGY but it wasn’t as bad as I thought either. A beautiful thing, methinks.
