Not So Funny. 5 Dec 2013.

This wasn’t so funny on a number of levels. I want to think more about this and will blog it later. Phillip Bloom shot an advert for Facebook. Which you could tell he was name-dropping like a son-of-a-bitch. Then he mea culpea’d his way out by saying (and showing) the opening clip with someone saying Facebook was bad for you. Bravo.

It reminded me of what John Lurie (NYC saxophonist and Jim Jarmisch collaborator) said cynically: ‘What do you know about music? You’re not an attorney…’ LOL, big style.

Moving craft to the first position is like ‘death from a thousand cuts.’ Each nick takes a bit more flesh from culture and leaves in it’s place another hollow, plastic Easter egg. Full of promise.
