Someone hipped me to these Polish guys that are working on a Steadicam prototype, but unlike traditional Steadicam, these use aviation grade, brushless gyros to maintain level camera position. Hope they get it together — looks like a cool and cost effective tool. Will give MoVI a run for it’s money.
I love the fact that they use their dogs as the talent. I do that too — because it’s so easy; they live here. Photographing them is another thing entirely. They don’t take cues and if you leave a markers — they usually just eat them. Rowdy. I figure if you can follow them around and get good shots. Anything else is pretty damned easy…
