WEDD 1WEDD 2

I hadn’t been to a wedding in ages. Not only did I not know what you do, but had no idea what you’re supposed to wear either. Stuff you’d wear on east coast, won’t fly on west coast… Blah-blah-blah-blah-blah. Ultimately, it was like swimming. And you never forget how to swim because it’s a survival mechanism. I had a total blast and met tons of great people. I met a woman that is a really brilliant stills photographer there. Fantastic photography. No football games. No photos of rock stars or actors (Marisol and Warhol already did that, as all of you art history buffs will recall). No photos of babies. Nothing predictable. Very out-of-the-box. Very boundary & culture advancing. She’s not relying on the past — she’s showing us the future… She also has national gallery representation — which sort of separates the truly inventive from the not very inventive.

Coucou bonsoir,
mon soeurs
