Post. 28 Sept 2012.

Joseph Mutinda, Kenyan distance runner extraordinaire, is in Drippings Springs, Texas for the week to help me with my running game and give a free Kenyan running clinic on Saturday 30 September. I learned the secret in making ugali. There’s a lot more to the process than I originally thought. It is usually served with kale, onions and tomatoes. Kind of a recharge zone-thing. It’s always considered the primary accomplice in the success-fulness of Kenyan distance running. Maybe yes, maybe no. There’s is a great Kenyan restaurant in Santa Fe called Jambo. It’s the real thing.

Joseph runs a 2:12 marathon but after just arriving from training in Iten — he hopes to drop that number considerably.
