It’s hard to audibly compare guitar pickups, so I thought that I would record them and look at the wave-forms. If I held all variables constant and got a good print — I should be able to do a visual comparison. Yes and no. For one, you can’t hold all variables constant. Some of them, maybe, but not all of them.
